Being fathers is getting our daughters up at 5:30 am making breakfast getting them dressed for school and putting them on the bus by 6:30 .This is a typical day in our household . It’s not easy but we enjoy every moment and eveny minute of #fatherhood . #proudfathers #blackfathers #prouddads #gaydads
Okay I’m reblogging this again because I want to point out how beautiful this is and the sheer number of stereotypes it disproves. The stereotype that a gay couple cant be good parents. The stereotype that men know nothing about caring for girls’ hair. The stereotype that all gay men are feminine. The stereotype that black men abandon their children. The stereotype that people with a lot of tattoos aren’t caring. The stereotype that black people are too lazy to care about things like school- This picture is a beautiful thing and I love everything about it and it makes me regain confidence in the world we live in
"This picture of Morehouse graduates drenched in rain yesterday has surprisingly caused quite a stir. Many are saying it’s indicative of Morehouse not having the money or common decency to implement a rain plan. If you see that when you look at this picture, I’m going to politely take the liberty to call you a cynic. To me this picture symbolizes the journey that so many black men endure everyday of their lives as they face countless obstacles yet continue to pursue success with unwavering determination. It is cynical to ignore the fortitude and thirst for knowledge in these men’s eyes for an opportunity to knock/shade/read Morehouse. Rain can’t stop the House, & life’s obstacles won’t stop these men…”
I’m here for all of this.
Gave me chills.
because the church has to pay bills just like everybody else.
Because the church is the root of all evil.
Imagine that when you see a city’s skyline, you taste blackberries.
Perhaps you are completely convinced that Wednesdays are light red. If you have experiences like these, you might have synesthesia.
Synesthesia means joined perception.
It’s when your brain perceives one sense such as hearing at the same time with another sense like sight.
The most common form is confusing letters and objects with colors. Someone might associate a plane with a green color.
Scientists believe that it happens when there’s cross-wiring in the brain, when neurons in one sensory over cross over to another.
here are interesting cases people have submitted to me!
fun fact: i have major grapheme-colour synesthesia, mostly with numbers
like 1(but not the word one for some reason) is grass-green (like a prairie green i guess it changes sometimes) 2 is bright yellow, nine and ten are dark greys, and 31 is forest green (i have others but those were the first ones that i recognised when i was little)
as you can imagine, precalc is a trip
I HAVE THIS OMGI think I have it too
My numbers have personalities and genders god damn I’m weird
Get it together people.
or were you referring to the other black people dressed ” respectfully ” during that time period that were being attacked with fire hoses and dogs? or maybe the ones getting lynched while white people stood under them, smiling and taking pictures?
or was it the ones that stood alongside MLK, dressed just as nicely, that got blown up inside of a church?
racism has nothing to do with how ” respectfully ” we dress. it’s about race.
stop making excuses for them you piece of shit.
They call me Cuban Pete. I’m the king of the rhumba beat. When I play the maracas I go chick chicky boom, chick chicky boom
